This authentic 30-hour Anton Schneider cuckoo clock was hand-carved in the Black Forest, Germany. Clock is made of wood, with wooden dial, wooden hands, and wooden house. The cuckoo bird is also made of wood. The cuckoo bird comes out to “”cuckoo”” the count of the hour, every hour, and “”cuckoos”” once every half hour. After that, music plays from a 22-note, Swiss-made, mechanical musical movement, playing Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer in rotation, on the hour and half hour (the melody combination may differ, in rare instances, depending on factory availability). In this chalet scene, there are carved evergreen trees, a dog, a bench, a pile of firewood, and a moving musician playing the accordian. A mill water wheel turns as the music plays. There is a silencing lever on the left side of the clock, to silence the clock at night.
